After the turkey

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with someone you loved.

We had a quiet one here, just 4 of us.  Our DD and her BF visited my parents in OH and our son in Atlanta spent the day with friends.  We're all meeting for Christmas so we're looking forward to getting together.

Our "baby" had his wisdom teeth extracted on Monday and is doing so well that he ate pretty much everything he wanted yesterday.

I spent most of the day in the kitchen and here is the result:

And the pies:

Marching band has finally ended and now it's on to the holiday season!  I did manage to stitch a little this past week.  I'm working on a CCN model--hope to finish today or tomorrow.  Then it's on to an ornament for an exchange, and then a snowman sal.  It feels good to be stitching again!

Glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving! (Ours here in Canada was celebrated in October.) Everything looks SO delicious... I can almost "smell" it through the computer

Thanks!

Tracey, one of my best friends here is from Canada. She had the funniest story about celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving in Vancouver with her DD and cooking for lots of her Canadian friends. She'd told her DD to get the (big) turkey in plenty of time for it to defrost but of course the DD didn't. It all worked out after some drastic attempts at thawing it out.

I always thought you Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving at a more reasonable time unlike ours that's wedged in between Halloween and Christmas.

It looks like you had a nice, quiet, Thanksgiving. We (my husband, son, and myself) went to a friend's house for Thanksgiving - it's the first time we'd been invited to a non-family member's place - it was a nice change of pace.
