Progress, a Finish, and a Beautiful Spring

WTNT Pink Sparrow:

I finally fixed the problem with the border in the upper right corner.  I believe I can now say I'm in the home stretch of this one.

HIH Wee Snow for a White Christmas theme for an ornament sal blog:

We have been enjoying a nice long string of beautiful weather this spring!  We've taken advantage by doing a little gardening.  I'd seen the idea for growing lettuce right in the bag of soil and elevating it off the ground.  The tomato cages are to keep our dog out of it.  For some reason he was attracted to it.  DH wanted to plant 3 bags worth.  I'm so glad I talked him out of it because we're harvesting enough lettuce to have salads every day from just the one bag.  (I snip off the lettuce we want each time and it grows more leaves.)

We've had a history of squirrels and probably raccoons eating our tomatoes so DH built a cage around them to keep them out.  (Hopefully we'll be able to get in to harvest the tomatoes!)

Some of our radishes.

Almost every night we fill our dinner plates inside and then go outside to enjoy the lake while eating.  Very soon it will be too hot to be able to do this so we're enjoying it while we can.

More Progress

I'm almost at the home stretch on Pink Sparrow Sampler.

I finished one model but starting another which will be the priority until it's finished so progress on "Pinkie" will be slower.

I also finished a small PS design.

I'm close to finishing another small but need to order a button for that one...hopefully sooner than later.  The problem with ordering a button and that I'll feel compelled to order something along with it.  Well...maybe that's not a problem after all.

Our bathroom remodel is complete except for our picking up/installing new switch plates and pulls/knobs for the cabinets.  I'll get a picture after that's done.  Today we're having new gutters installed...not exactly a fun way to spend money but something that needs to be done.

Progress

The border meets!!!  After all the frustration I've had with this one, I'm finally feeling like I'll finish her after all.

A Tale of Two Finishes and a WIP or Two

It's amazing how much stitching I can get done when I stay at home near my stitching lamp!

I was in the mood for some Easter stitching so stitched Easter Sampler by HIH.  Cute little bunny!

Next up is the former wip of LHN Autumn Band Sampler.  I love band samplers, the autumn motifs and the colors in this one!  I stitched 3 of the 4 models of these seasonal samplers and loved them so much that I'll eventually stitch all 4 for me to keep.  (I have 2 more to go.)

My Pink Sparrow Sampler is starting to behave and I'm enjoying stitching it now.  I really think I made those mistakes because I tried to stitch while distracted or tired.  Also the linen isn't the most even I've used and some of the threads/holes are much smaller than others.  Anyway, for now, we're friends again.

I'll be working on some models now so my personal stitching will slow down.  It's all good, though.

Another wip is a bathroom remodel.  Not unexpectedly, we've run into a few glitches but we're moving along.  This has needed to be done for a long time so we're glad to be getting it done now.  It's the first of 3 bathrooms that need updating.  It makes me appreciate all the more how calming it is to sit and stitch.
